How do I join RiaRewards?

Ria Rewards is open to all Ria Money Transfer customers who send money at a Ria Money Transfer agent or store location.

If you’ve never used Ria Money Transfer, no problem. As soon as you complete your first transfer, you’ll also be eligible!

You’ll need to fill out a short form, which will help us identify you and also get your permission to opt-in to the program.

Where can I find my Ria customer number?

You can find your customer number on your Ria Money Transfer order receipt. It starts with the letter ‘C’ and is in brackets next to your name.

Why am I not receiving my verification code when trying to join Ria Rewards?

You’ll need to use the same mobile number that Ria Money Transfer has on file for you. You’ll need to get in touch with us if you’ve recently changed your number or you’re unsure what number we have on file.

What is a Thank You/Thanks?

In the Ria Rewards program, we refer to “points” as a Thank You/Thanks.

You’ll receive 1 Thank You for every $1 you send through Ria Money Transfer. This is our way of looking after heroes who support their loved ones by saying thanks (on behalf of your receiver)!

What are the benefits of joining the Ria Rewards Program?

By joining Ria Rewards you’ll have access to an exclusive Rewards store and also unlock access to an exclusive Benefits store.

The items in our Benefits store are hand-picked to say Thanks for using Ria Money Transfer and to help you save some hard-earned money. You can purchase these items directly and don’t need to use your Thanks.

How do I earn Thanks?

You’ll receive 1 Thank You for every AU$1 that you send from any Ria Money Transfer agent or company owned store.

Your Thanks can only be added to your Ria Rewards profile after your money transfer order is complete (this basically means after your receiver has received the money). Just a heads up, this could take up to 48 hours to show up on your Ria Rewards profile.

What other ways can I earn Thanks?

You’ll also have a chance to earn Thanks directly from Ria Money Transfer!

  • Reviewing Your Last Transfer

    For eligible Ria Money Transfer orders, you’ll be able to give feedback on your experience with that order. We’ll give you Thanks for passing on the feedback!

  • Review Ria

    We want to hear what you think about Ria Money Transfer. We’ll give you Thanks when you leave us a review!

    We understand perceptions change over time, so we’ll open up the option to leave a review every 3 months (and of course, we’ll give you Thanks every time).

  • Birthday Bonus

    Every year on your birthday, we’ll give you our Thanks for being a customer (to help you celebrate your special day).

  • Refer A Friend

    From time to time, Ria Money Transfer will run refer a friend promotions.

    Whenever one of the friends you referred completes their first Ria Money Transfer order, we’ll give you Thanks!

  • Special Promotions

    Ria Rewards will run special member only promotions from time-to-time enabling members to earn and receive additional Thanks.

When do my Thanks expire?

There are 2 expiry rules that the program follows:

  1. 1. Send Money Rule:

    For heroes who support their loved ones at least once every 3 months (90 days), you keep all the Thanks you receive for 3 years (unless you redeem them for rewards earlier). However, if you don’t send money within 3 months (90 days) of your previous Ria Money Transfer order, ALL your Thanks will expire.

  2. 2. Anniversary Rule:

    Thanks that reach their 3rd anniversary will expire, unless you redeem them for a reward. For example, the Thanks you received for sending money on 1st July 2021 will expire on 1st July 2024, unless you use those Thanks within the 3-year period.

So, make sure you redeem for rewards regularly!

You’ll be able to see a summary of when your Thanks expire if you click on the orange points tracker in the top right corner of the page.

Not to worry, we'll also send you reminder emails 2 weeks before your Thanks are due to expire.

How do I know which Thanks were used for my rewards?

When you redeem your Thanks for rewards, we use the FIFO method. That means First In, First Out. So, when you redeem for rewards, we use your oldest Thanks first.

My points balance doesn’t look correct or has gone missing.

Your Thanks can only be added to your Ria Rewards profile after your money transfer order is complete (this basically means after your receiver has received the money). Just a heads up, this could take up to 48 hours to show up on your Ria Rewards profile.

Can I transfer or share my Thanks with friends or family?

No, Thanks can’t be transferred, shared or sold in any manner.

How long will it take for my reward to arrive?

All rewards and benefits are delivered electronically so it should arrive in your inbox right away. However, please allow 24 hours after redemption before you contact Ria Money Transfer Customer Care.

How do I redeem Thanks for a reward?

In the main menu, hover over ‘Redeem’ and then select ‘Rewards’.

Here you’ll find all the rewards you will be able to redeem for Thanks.

When you find a reward you like, add it to your cart.

You’ll see your cart in the top right corner of the page.

To checkout any items in your cart, please go to your cart.

Once you follow the redemption prompts in your cart, you would have finalised your rewards order.

The redeemed Thanks will reflect in your profile straight away.

Can I get a refund for my reward?

Once a reward is redeemed, the order cannot be changed or cancelled.

Does my reward or benefit have an expiry date?

The Fee Reduction and Money Transfer Credit rewards issued for use with Ria Money Transfer have a 3-month expiry from the date they are issued.

Any reward or benefit from suppliers other than Ria Money Transfer have their own set of Terms & Conditions. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to see them before you finalize your redemption. Make sure you pay attention to those Terms & Conditions including any exclusions, limitations and expiry rules that the respective supplier might have put in there.
